Class of 1933 - 11th Grade
High School only went up to 11th grade until 1944

By 1933, the Great Depression was in full swing. One third of all Americans were unemployed and half of all US banks had failed. The American economy had reached it's lowest point.

The 1933 Sumter High School yearbook reflects the depressed state our country was in. It had paper covers with only 31 pages bound with metal staples.
